Fall Annual Council officially opens
With the theme "I Will Go," Elder Ted Wilson, president of the Seventh-day Adventist World Church, officially opened the fall Annual Council last October 6. The Annual Council is one of two yearly meetings of the World Church's Executive Committee, and this is the first time it is being held virtually.
Adventist surgeon leads first lung transplant success in post-COVID-19 case
Dr. Manuel Wong and his team successfully performed a simultaneous bilateral lung transplant in a post-COVID-19 patient in Monterrey, Mexico last August 31. The seven-hour surgery was the first of its kind in Latin America and the seventh performed in the world.
Brazilian youths initiate food donation drive
As part of the Chain of Good campaign, students from grades 6 through 9 of the Adventist School of Joinville collected non-perishable foods for the less fortunate.
