First in the news, The Ten Thousand Toes Campaign, an initiative of Adventist Health, has received the 2022 Healthy Island Award in the Best Practice Category from the World Health Organization for its work in Fiji. The award recognizes the work that "10,000 Toes" is doing to help address the epidemic of lifestyle diseases, particularly diabetes, in the Pacific.
This year, the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Haiti has baptized more than eight thousand people as a result of evangelism efforts. Just recently, the Church welcomed more than one thousand and six hundred new members at the close of two weeks of online evangelistic meetings held in Pétion-Ville.
Hope Under Siege, is a brand new program that recently premiered on the Hope Channel. Hope Under Siege shares first hand accounts of Ukrainian refugees and stories of the Adventist Development and Relief Agency's relief work during Russian and Ukrainian conflict. It captures the unrest in Ukraine, while also highlighting the role faith plays. Through out the program, you will hear testimonies of hope under siege. The mission of this program is to demonstrate hope in action through relevant stories of support and faith.
Finally, we will have the the stories of the dedicated missionaries like Ervin and Mildred Sorensen. They served as missionaries to the Southern Asia Division and to the Far Eastern Division for over 22 years.
